In 1899 Oreste Ruggeri (Urbino 1857 - 1912), owner of a pharmacy and passionate ceramist, took over the ceramic manufacturers "Nicoletti" and "Berarducci & C." in Pesaro, transferring all the equipment to his home in via Sabatini, in Pesaro. The factory, called "Ruggeri Ceramiche" was directed first by Arnaldo Giuliani from Pesaro, already a member of "Berarducci & C.", then by Giuseppe Brega from Urbino. The production of the small factory, consisting of pharmacy vases and Art Nouveau ceramics, were presented at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 and at the Turin exhibition of the same year. Despite commercial success, in 1903 the factory was sold to Arnaldo Giuliani.
