Pair of allegories with female figures, triumphs of flowers surmounted by cherubs. In one of the paintings, the lady holds a red calla lily in one hand, and the rhizome of the flower between the fingers of the other. The symbolism represents passion, sensuality, beauty, and fertility. Oil on board and Venetian mirror. Once in our possession, this pair of paintings was consolidated by the painting restorer, given the fragility of the wooden boards that had previously undergone inadequate restorations, and the joining points between wood and mirrors were consolidated. In addition, the wooden frames that surround them have been fixed and equipped with iron brackets, on which this pair of paintings now bear completely. We did not proceed to remove the patina from the pictorial surface, which in the past has undergone several retouches and restorations. They are certainly two magnificent and rare decoration objects.
