Description:
Important and particular French Charles X toilet in mahogany and feather, which can now be used in a living room as a support furniture. The size (overall dimensions) with the flaps down is cm.93x54; h.87. Each flap measures cm.29 so the toilet with the flaps raised will measure cm.151x54. To access the inside of the toilet, the front is lowered as a flap (it seems to be two drawers) which hides an unusual desk. Once the flap is opened, we find a drawer which, once opened, reveals a set of niches and turned boxes in rosewood that were used to contain ladies' cosmetics. Furthermore, once the various niches are accessed, a swaying mirror is raised. The back, being a center piece of furniture, is finished exactly like the front. The antique Charles X toilet is perfectly restored and French polished with shellac.
