A pair of Italian Louis XV Mirrored Wall Sconces
Period : Second half of the 18th century
A pair of Italian Louis XV wall sconces with mecca gilded frames, carved with vegetal elements, scrolls and flowers and original mercury mirror plates. In the lower part of the frame, one wrought iron sconce arm for candle, probably replaced. Italian origin, coming from a private home in Milan, they date back to late 18th century. Wear consistent with age and use, with minor gilding losses.
