Domenico Pecchio (Verona, 1689-1760) Landscape with the meeting between Rebecca and Eliezer SOLD  Translated
Description:
Domenico Pecchio (Verona, 1689-1760) Landscape with the meeting between Rebecca and Eliezer, circa 1740-1750 Oil on canvas, 62 x 88 cm. Unpublished. Here the painter also reveals an already consummate lighting direction, which, leaving the large bush in the front in shadow with the function of repoussoir, captures the central passage with two sources of light: one that comes from the left and the other that lightens the background, thus determining the backlight effect of the arboreal fronds, delineated with minute brushstrokes of vivid green. They take prominence... (see Giamblanco 2015 catalog) [Andrea Tomezzoli] For more information send us an email: [email protected] Follow us on Facebook Go to the main website  Translated
