BRONZE CLOCK WITH BARDIGLIO MARBLE BASE, FIRST HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY

Refined clock in cast and gilded bronze. The clock features a bardiglio marble base with gilded bronze feet. The style of the clock is reminiscent of Louis XVI, with phytomorphic and geometric garland motifs. The piece is further adorned with an amphora decorated with floral motifs. The dial has Arabic and Roman numerals with gilded bronze hands. It also bears the inscription of the watchmaker "Mage" of Paris, whose workshop was at 59 rue de Provence. It strikes the hours and half-hours. This is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any environment.
