Description:
Refined set of eight Neapolitan Louis XVI chairs, from the late eighteenth century. The elegant backrests feature the characteristic inverted "Y" shape, typical of Neapolitan production of the period, finely carved and decorated.
The wooden structure is embellished with a rich silver-gilt mecca gilding, a decorative technique of great value that gives the surface a soft and iridescent luminosity, particularly appreciated in the aristocratic furnishings of the Kingdom of Naples. The carved edges, the turned legs, and the carved volutes testify to the high executive quality of the work.
The seats, upholstered in light-colored fabric, maintain a sober elegance that harmoniously dialogues with the rich decoration of the structure.
A homogeneous and rare ensemble, ideal for enriching a dining room or a representative environment with the taste and refinement of the late Neapolitan Baroque.
