Ancient sculpture entirely made of terracotta, depicting an elderly man from the half-bust, dressed in an ancient-style tunic. The expression of the depicted character, as well as the deep folds of the tunic, are skillfully reproduced by the artist's hand, who leaves nothing to idealistic transfigurations and faithfully conveys the visual data, that of a person in the twilight of their years, etched on the face by the inexorable passage of time. The drapery has a strong plastic connotation given the strong chiaroscuro that can be discerned in grazing light. The bust of the venerable man concludes at the lower part, resting on a circular pedestal that gives the ensemble a measured dynamism. Material: Terracotta.
