Engraved vase with lid, mid-19th century

Elegant Bohemian crystal vase, finely engraved and with ruby crystal partitions, known as a "deckelpokal", which referred to ceremonial lidded vases typical of the artistic craftsmanship of the Central European area. The vase has a chalice shape, a rounded bevelled base, and an openable lid. The vase features numerous engraved decorations, which, along with the red partitions, contribute to its added refinement. These are mainly phytomorphic decorations, while in the center of the vase is depicted a hunting scene, where a seated hunter with a rifle is visible within a forest, and on the other side, deer are represented. It is an object of great taste and elegance, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Bohemian manufacture, from the Biedermeier period, around the mid-19th century.
