LARGE STONE MORTAR LATE 17TH CENTURY
Description:
Refined large mortar, finely sculpted in stone. The mortar has a downward-flaring shape with a lobed rim, characterized by four protrusions. These latter were useful and used to facilitate grip during pounding and for emptying the contents. It should be noted that one of the protrusions has losses. This is an object of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of antiquity to any environment. Tuscan craftsmanship from the late 17th century.
