Barocchetto walnut veneered center desk

Elegant and sinuous center desk (finished on all sides to be placed in the center of the room) in full Barocchetto style. The front of the desk is characterized by a distinctive "knee" or bean-shaped recess in the lower part, designed to comfortably accommodate a seating. It features a division of five drawers arranged like a triumphal arch: four smaller side drawers (two on each side) and a large central drawer with an original lock and a finely crafted metal keyhole escutcheon. Above the central drawer, there is a pull-out tray, a typical element of high-quality writing furniture. The surface is entirely embellished with beautiful walnut veneer, skillfully arranged with diagonal grain on the sides, while the drawer fronts and panels are framed by walnut inlay. The edges are slightly chamfered above the legs. The piece rests on four characteristic cabriole legs (saber-shaped), accentuated and slender, which terminate in an elegant curled or slipper foot, lending visual stability and dynamism to the entire structure. Condition: The piece is in fair condition and is presented in its original state, solid carpentry with the drawer and pull-out tray slides needing attention. It was previously restored, removing the locks from the side drawers, closing the corresponding keyholes, and adding knobs. Restoration is recommended.
