Modular kitchen "Reflex" Italy, 1950s–1960s
This unit belongs to an original modular kitchen from the Reflex series, a significant example of Italian industrial design from the post-war period. The structure is made of stamped and painted sheet steel in its characteristic pastel green hue, with rounded chrome handles and functional details that reflect the era's focus on practicality, hygiene, and rationalism. The central column also features an elegant vertical mirrored chrome insert.
Officine F.lli Perusi, founded in Verona in 1919, was among the leading companies in the industrialization of Italian home furnishings. Starting in the 1950s, they introduced one of the first lines of metal modular kitchens inspired by the American model, marketed under the Reflex brand.
Today, Reflex kitchens represent an important testament to the evolution of living during Italy's economic boom years and are considered objects of great interest for vintage and design collectors.
