COD 01221
Antique Italian painting from the first half of the 19th century. This oil on canvas artwork represents a fragment of Titian's famous 1515 masterpiece, Sacred Love, Profane Love, held in the Galleria Borghese in Rome. The painting, which unfolds vertically, exclusively depicts the female figure linked to sacred love.
The girl sitting on the edge of the finely crafted well is beautiful and sensual (see photo). A beautifully sized and attractively decorated painting, it's ideal for antique dealers and interior decorators. The artwork has undergone conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the stretcher, and restoration of the color in some areas (see photo). It has a beautiful patina and is in overall good condition.
