PAIR OF CHARLES X STOOLS, FIRST HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY
Description:
Refined curulean stools in figured maple wood, finely carved and enriched with dark mahogany inlays. The stools are distinguished by their faldstool shape, with curved legs in a stylized cornucopia form, connected at the sides by turned stretchers and equipped with raised armrests. Further embellishing the design are the inlays, present on all sides and on the armrests, created in geometric patterns and floral interlaces. The surface of the stools is finished with a soft cerulean blue fabric, which lends an touch of elegance. This is a pair of stools of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. French manufacture, in the style of Jacob and from the Charles X period, around the first half of the 19th century (circa 1830).
