Description:
Single-door wardrobe, chamfered, entirely made of painted fir wood, dated 1801 on the top molding. The object has an opaque blue-azure background, embellished with polychrome floral decorations.
The front is dominated by a single framed door, divided into two main quadrangular panels. Each interior panel features a dark background bordered by red brick inlay and corner decorations, within which symmetrical compositions of flower bouquets, garlands, and stylized corollas in shades of red, white, and ochre are developed. The upper part bears a dedicatory inscription in red cursive characters, alongside the dating 1801.
The top band is defined by a prominent projecting throat molding, enriched by a light-colored band decorated with a continuous floral vine motif and buds. The lower section houses a pull-out chest of drawers, consistent in its decoration with symmetrical ramages on a blue background, set above a molded plinth that outlines the entire base of the furniture, resting on onion feet. The chamfered sides echo the same background hue, enriched with isolated vertical floral bouquets that lighten the geometric volume of the furniture. The hardware includes an original wrought iron lock and key.
