NAPOLEON III BUREAU WITH MARQUETRY MID-19TH CENTURY

Beautiful and elegant central desk, with high-quality marquetry in walnut and rosewood, and embellished with lost-wax cast bronze decorations. The desk is distinguished by its lyre-shaped legs, joined by turned parts decorated with gilded bronze floral details, with legs ending in gilded bronze feline paws, equipped with wheels to facilitate movement. The top features an inlaid frieze and a gilded bronze balustrade, finely chiseled, which confer further elegance. The frieze below the top contains three drawers with gilded bronze handles: two of medium size and a particular smaller one, placed near the right corner, functional for pens and inkwells. This is a desk of great taste and refinement, capable of decorating any environment with class and elegance. Italian manufacture, recalling the neoclassical style of French cabinetmakers, in the Napoleonic III period, around the mid-19th century. Measurements: H x W x D 75 x 122 x 75cm
