Description:
Elegant Pair of Louis XVI Armchairs, Neapolitan manufacture, late 18th century.
The seats feature a finely carved and gilded wood structure with gold leaf, rosettes, and classic decorations. The backrests are oval-shaped, slightly curved, connected to curved armrests that join the seat frame via curved uprights. The seat is wide and comfortable, upholstered and covered in smooth white fabric. The tapered and fluted legs end in pointed feet, giving the composition a sense of movement and rigor.
A refined example of Neapolitan Neoclassical taste, these armchairs represent a perfect balance between formal elegance and functional comfort, typical of Bourbon-era production.
