Charles X Console – Pietro Viola
Description:
Elegant Charles X console of great Neapolitan cabinetry, by Pietro Viola, dating to around 1830. The piece features a refined maple wood structure finely inlaid with amaranth wood in floral motifs and volutes, which enhance the harmony of its lines. The yellow marble top adds luminosity and prestige to the overall piece.
Characteristic is the pair of front supports, intertwined in double volutes, supported by carved and decorated bases, united by a stretcher that guarantees stability and aesthetic continuity. The rear supports, with a fluted rectangular section, complete the composition with sober elegance.
The quality of the inlay and the refinement of the lines testify to the mastery of Pietro Viola, one of the most appreciated cabinetmakers of 19th-century Naples. A rare and highly charismatic piece, ideal for enriching representative spaces or high-level collections.
