Description: Splendid pair of Umbertine bedside tables, dating back to the late 19th century, made of ivory white lacquered wood with rich gold leaf gilded wood applications. The bedside tables feature a recessed white marble top, enclosed by a band decorated with a gilded egg-and-dart motif. The main body is characterized by a central door with a precious gilded bronze application in the shape of confronting dolphins, set within a gilded geometric frame. The interior is functional, with a storage compartment. The base is embellished with a gilded palmette frieze and rests on four characteristic lion's paw feet, which give stability and a touch of majesty to the furniture. Condition: The bedside tables are in excellent condition. The structure is solid and the gilding is well-preserved, although showing slight signs of wear consistent with the period.
