Small French secretaire from the mid-20th century. Empire-style cabinet carved and veneered in mahogany, and fruitwood. This very compact secretaire features a recessed marble top with a decorative brass ring (see photo). The lower shelf also features a good-sized, recessed marble top.

The fall-front door, complete with working key, conceals a good-sized, textured faux-leather-covered writing surface, two drawers, and an open compartment (see photo). This well-proportioned, finished for the center secretaire can easily be placed anywhere in the home. In good condition.
