Description:
Elegant "temple" style table clock, made of white marble and gilt bronze decorations. The clock is composed of four front columns enhanced by vegetal festoons, architectural partitions, and gilded vases, which lend refinement. The pendulum, featuring a basket with flowers and plants, is also made of gilt bronze, as is the dial and the vase above it. The dial displays Roman numerals, with two gilt bronze hands. The mechanism is functional and features a chime that strikes the hours and half-hours. This clock of great elegance and taste is capable of elegantly furnishing any room. French manufacture, Napoleonic III period, mid-19th century.
