EMPIRE STYLE GILT BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Description:
Refined Empire style mantel clock, in lost-wax cast and gilded bronze. The clock features a shaped rectangular base adorned with phytomorphic decorations, and a volute structure with festoons, leaves, and geometric ornaments. Finally, it is topped with an amphora-shaped vase, in a neoclassical style. The clock has a dial, protected by an opening glass, with hours indicated in Roman and Arabic numerals, and gilded bronze hands. It also comes with a key, and the mechanism strikes the hours and half-hours. This is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class to any environment. French manufacture from the Empire period, around the early 19th century. Measurements: H x W x D 54 x 42 x 16cm
