MANTEL CLOCK WITH BELL MID 19TH CENTURY
Description:
Refined Empire pendulum clock, in gilded lost-wax cast bronze. The clock features a shaped rectangular base adorned with phytomorphic decorations, and a scrolled structure with festoons, leaves, and geometric decorations. It culminates at the top with an amphora vase, in Neoclassical style. The clock has a dial, protected by an opening glass cover, displaying hours in Roman and Arabic numerals, with gilded bronze hands. It also comes with a key, and the mechanism strikes the hours and half-hours. This is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class to any environment. French manufacture from the Empire period, around the early 19th century.
