18th Century Florentine Console
Description:
Extraordinary and museum-quality Console of high Florentine craftsmanship, made in the first half of the 18th century, an authentic expression of great Tuscan Baroque cabinetmaking. The piece stands out for the exceptional quality of its carving, extremely rich and virtuosic, characterized by volutes, foliate motifs, floral elements, and a scenographic movement of rare elegance. The structure, made of finely carved and gilded wood, features a sumptuous pierced decoration in a fully Baroque style, enhanced by an ancient gilding perfectly preserved with patina. The sinuous legs and rich ornamental interlacing lend the ensemble a sculptural monumentality of great aesthetic impact. The shaped top is made of precious "Fior di Pesco" marble, with refined polychrome veining, perfectly integrated with the importance of the furniture. Museum-level console, extremely rare for its quality, state of preservation, and integrity. The piece is in excellent condition, with a splendid original patina and no alterations, ideal for important collections, historic residences, or prestigious interior design projects.
