The mirror is distinguished by the elegance of its full 18th-century Venetian carving, characterized by a fluid line and an ornamental repertoire that combines volutes, foliage, and rocaille motifs with an almost "openwork" lightness. The undulating profile, punctuated by curls and counter-curves, follows the vertical development of the piece, while the original gilding—warm, luminous, applied with a "missione" technique on a "bolo" ground—recreates the decorative richness typical of the lagoon workshops of the period. The broad frame, structured on multiple carving levels, creates a play of light and shadow that enhances its plastic depth and the quality of execution. The monumental proportions suggest placement in reception rooms, where the mirror would have served as a scenographic element capable of expanding the space and reflecting light.
