Carved and gilded wood drawing room stool - 19th century
Description:
Elegant drawing room stool in a Baroque style, crafted from finely carved wood with rich volute and vegetal motifs. The structure features flowing and harmonious lines, enhanced by a turned stretcher and shaped feet, elements that lend considerable elegance and lightness to the piece. The seat has been recently reupholstered with red satin fabric, finished with coordinating trim, offering a pleasant contrast with the gilding. The gilding has been fully restored with a conservative intervention, restoring uniformity, brilliance, and enhancing the richness of the carvings, while respecting the original aesthetics of the artifact. Features: * Period: 19th century * Dimensions: height 50 cm, seat 43.5 x 38 cm * Material: Carved and gilded wood * Seat: Padded and upholstered in red satin * Restorations: Gilding completely redone; seat upholstery redone * Condition: Excellent condition, solid and stable structure, ready for use. A highly decorative piece, ideal as a drawing room stool, footrest, or furnishing element for classic, neo-Baroque, or eclectic environments. A piece of refined craftsmanship that combines the charm of antiquity with the freshness of careful restoration. Item accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
