"... These are two good quality works, executed in the Piedmontese area around the mid-seventeenth century or shortly thereafter. Indeed, clear references to the works of Orsola Maddalena Caccia can be seen... It is precisely the very structure of the image that suggests Orsola's name: the daisies that emerge with their soft stems from the pile arranged somewhat casually on the stone tabletop, recall the irises and tulips that emerge in the same way, from a similar pile of scattered flowers, in the painting in fig. 4 of the aforementioned catalogue"... from attached expertise by Prof. Alberto Cotino
