The sculpture depicts a full-figure young shepherdess, standing on a rocky base, with a lamb cradled in her raised arms and a sheep at her feet, its muzzle turned upwards. The dress is rendered with fluid folds, while an apron decorated in relief with floral motifs animates the central area of the figure. The chasing is accurate in the details of the animals' fleece and in the rendering of the gathered hair. The marble base is an integral part of the composition. Work attributable to Italian production with verista taste from the second half of the 19th century. Condition report: Good condition.
