Elegant 19th-century Piedmontese secretary desk, made in the Biella area, as attested by an original inscription found inside one of the secret compartments.
Crafted from walnut veneered on the front, it features simple and proportionate lines typical of Piedmontese production of the era. The interior is organized with compartments and small drawers and is equipped with two secret drawers, an element of particular interest and charm.
The large flip-top writing surface, covered in green felt, offers a comfortable writing area, while the lower section with doors provides additional storage space.
The piece is in good overall condition, considering its age. There are normal signs of age and use; it requires conservation restoration to enhance its original characteristics.
