ANTIQUE PAINTINGS, ART DECO, STILL LIFE WITH SPRING FLOWERS, OIL ON CANVAS, 20TH CENTURY. (QF748)
Description:
(QF748)
The antique Floral Still Life painting with Spring Flowers offered here is a beautiful oil on canvas painting from the early 1900s, Art Deco.
The antique painting is framed by a carved and lacquered wooden frame, Montparnasse, from the early 20th century.
It is a composition with a rich bouquet of cut flowers arranged in a decorated ceramic vase, placed on a dark surface
which creates an effective contrast with the chromatic liveliness of the composition.
The floral ensemble with zinnias, daisies, ranunculus, and cornflowers is harmonious, and the painting style, attributable to the Art Deco and
post-impressionist taste, is distinguished by its chromatic balance, the softness of the brushstrokes, and the attention to the material rendering of the petals.
