TÊTE-À-TÊTE COFFEE SERVICE IN PORCELAIN, FIRST HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY
Description:
Refined coffee service in Old Paris porcelain from the Restoration period, characterized by elegant gilded and painted decorations. The service is a tête-à-tête, consisting of a coffee pot, two cups, and two saucers. The decoration features lively painted landscapes with rural scenes and lake shores, set within gold-framed reserves. Geometrized vegetal motifs adorn the rest of the surface, which is a deep purple-red, with references to the Pompeian style, especially on the cups where grotesque elements depicting swans are found. Gold leaf gilding, also present inside the cups, completes the decoration, enriching its craftsmanship and lending elegance to the service. This is a unique set, capable of furnishing any environment with taste and refinement. French manufacture, likely Paris, from the first half of the 19th century.
