Description:
PTI780 - Walnut door made of solid wood with two leaves. The front composition features a flame walnut surface, enhanced by two symmetrical panels enclosed within finely carved gouge mouldings in solid wood. This side, originally intended to be visible, embodies a taste for geometric detail. The back of the artifact, however, conceals the more intimate and historical side of the object, offering precious details about its original placement. The surface displays a lacquer, shifting through tones of cream, grey, and dove grey, applied over the centuries to unify the element with the interiors of rooms. On the rear side, the majestic strap hinges in wrought iron stand out, adorned with scroll-shaped terminals. Push opening. 18th century. Measurements cm W 102 x H 210
