Large French Louis Philippe gilded mirror with original mercury glass

Important French mirror from the Louis Philippe period, crafted around the mid-19th century (circa 1840-1855). Impressive in size (133 x 102 cm), it features the classic rounded corner silhouette characteristic of the finest French production of the era. The frame is adorned with refined "pastiglia" applications depicting floral and fruit motifs, elegantly distributed along the uprights and at the central points of the structure.The original gold leaf gilding still retains a pleasing luminosity today, enhanced by the natural patina acquired over more than a century and a half of history.
