Description:
Interesting floor lamp made of brass, lacquered metal, lenticular crystal, and cast iron in 1955 by Oscar Torlasco, a leading designer in interior lighting in the mid-20th century: the optical lenses inserted in his lamps were his trademark. Prod. Lumi, Model 555 T adjustable (photo no. 8) and directional (photo no. 4). The base measures 30 cm in diameter, the brass disc lampshade, internally lacquered in white, measures 40 cm in diameter. Inside the brass disc, a lampshade with an optical lens (10 cm diameter) set in a black metal structure (20 cm diameter: photos no. 3 and 4). The tube measures 155 cm, the diagonal rod, including the lampshade, measures 62 cm: the maximum height, fully extended, is 1.80 m. We find the small switch for turning it on and off at the top of the rod (photo no. 9). It is presented in a good state of conservation, with natural signs of age: although it is functional, we recommend checking the electrical system (dimensions: 36x73 cm; h.165 cm).
