DIRECTOIRE STYLE TABLE WITH INLAY LATE 18TH CENTURY
Description:
Refined and unique table, veneered with solid walnut wood, finely carved, with precious fruitwood inlays. The table features elegant saber legs, typical of the period, and a front drawer that can be opened by a knob, inside which small items can be stored in various compartments. The piece of furniture is also ideal as a central piece of furniture, thanks to the decoration on all sides with inlays depicting floral garlands, while geometric inlays can be seen on the top, with an inlaid lunette in the center depicting a shepherd boy on a hill, and next to a basket, conferring further refinement. This is a table of great taste and elegance, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. Piacenza manufacture (Lombardy, northern Italy), from the Directoire period, around the late 18th century.
