PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY IMPERIAL GILT BRONZE SCONCES
Description:
Refined pair of sconces, each with two lights, in lost-wax cast and gilded bronze. The sconces consist of a central body, characterized by phytomorphic volutes and geometric decorations, and two curved arms, which end in floral-shaped candle holders. Adding further refinement is the presence of vine shoots and flowers, which intertwine with the arms. This is a pair of sconces of great taste and elegance, capable of lending a touch of class and antiquity to any room. French manufacture, from the Empire period, around the early 19th century.
