Four-seater carved walnut sofa. Venice, mid-18th century.  Translated
Description:
Four-seater carved walnut sofa, attributable to Venetian production of the mid-18th century. The open back is articulated into four shaped panels with intertwined volutes, connected by carved foliage and flower elements. The shaped armrests end in scrolls and connect to the structure with a curvilinear movement. The shaped apron, enriched with floral carvings, stands on six cabriole legs ending in lion's paws (a typical solution of Venetian cabinetry in the Rococo style), which gives the piece flair and movement. 211 x 60 x h 88 cm. Condition report: Good condition. Minor losses in the carving. Non-original green velvet upholstery. All shipments within the EU are free and professionally packed. This item is sold with a legally valid certificate of authenticity. Further details on the condition report are available upon request.
