Ancient sculpture made entirely of terracotta, depicting an elderly man from the half-bust, dressed in an antique tunic. The expression of the portrayed character, as well as the deep folds of the tunic, are skillfully reproduced by the artist's hand, which leaves nothing to idealistic transfigurations and faithfully conveys the visual data, that of a person in the twilight of their years, etched on their face by the inexorable passage of time. The drapery has a strong plastic connotation given the strong chiaroscuro that can be observed under raking light. The bust of the elderly man concludes at the bottom, resting on a circular pedestal that gives the ensemble a measured dynamism. Material: Terracotta.
