Description
Hexagonal ciborium supported by an architectural structure in ebonized wood, set on a molded base with turned supports and a shaped lower surface. The upper body, with a central development and crowned by a removable stepped pyramidal roof with a gilt bronze lion finial, is entirely embellished with a rich decorative apparatus of ivory inlay, organized within geometric reserves and panels punctuated by refined phytomorphic motifs, volutes, and scrolls in a Neo-Renaissance style. The side panels alternate large mirror plates adorned with plastic elements in gilt bronze depicting female figures, while the lower register features further applications in chased bronze with a motif of mascarons.
