Description:
A three-drawer chest of drawers from Central Italy, dating to the late 17th century. The structure is entirely made of solid walnut. The front is divided into three drawers, veneered with pre-root walnut and characterized by geometric reserves, defined by light wood inlay, which create a chromatic contrast with the walnut grain. Each drawer is equipped with a pull handle and two drop handles.
The frontal structure is flanked by fluted solomonic columns, which run along the front uprights and insert into the base, raised on shaped and perforated feet. The surface reflects the cabinetmaking techniques of the era, with a clear distinction between the solid carpentry of the sides and the refined decoration of the front.
