Elegant fall-front secretaire veneered in mahogany feather wood and adorned with refined gilt-mercury bronze applications. Light-colored wooden interior, French craftsmanship from the early Empire period. The front design is framed by two beautiful tall columns with finely chiseled gilt bronze bases and capitals, and by a large drop-leaf (upper part) and two doors (lower part). It follows the typical scheme of this type of furniture born during the Napoleonic era, known as Secrètaire. The aesthetic quality of the mahogany feather wood, which enriches the entire piece with luminous brilliance, is enhanced by the excellent restoration carried out by our team of restorers using the traditional shellac and pad technique.
