The lower body features a straight front with three drawers and a fall-front, which opens to reveal a series of compartments and small drawers; the upper body is articulated by double-opening doors. The pictorial decoration, executed in tempera on a celadon-green background with ochre-yellow frames and reliefs, develops an iconographic program centered on the Allegory of the Arts: the fall-front depicts a reclining allegorical female figure, identifiable as Painting or Sculpture, flanked by putti bearing the tools of the arts; the panels of the upper doors host compositions with putti engaged in figurative arts, animated by medallions with Latin inscriptions, garlands of flowers and fruit. The interiors of the upper body are decorated in imitation of wallpaper with stylized ornamental motifs. The piece is completed by carved and gilded wood elements on the uprights and in the shaped cornice. Condition report: Good general state of preservation, with widespread wear and losses of lacquer consistent with the age of the artifact.
