We present this majestic antique Italian lectern, made of solid walnut and dating back to the early 19th century. Characterized by a pyramidal top section, topped with a decorative turned wooden knob, it is ideal for use on both sides. It offers two inclined shelves for resting books, missals, or musical scores. The base of the inclined shelves features a shaped book support to prevent volumes from slipping. The two open sides create a curious and decorative internal niche. A turned vertical axis connects the upper section to the base. A circular shelf offers additional support at mid-height. At the base, three curved supports extend outwards to ensure stability. A carved decorative ring joins the three legs at their widest point of convergence. The feet rest on a shaped triangular base, raised off the ground.
