Refined and unique sculpture depicting a child playing with a duck, made of precious white Carrara marble and finely carved. The child, seated and smiling, is portrayed engrossed in playing with the duck's wings, which is depicted in motion, in the act of trying to escape the game. The sculpture was originally conceived as a fountain, with water entering the work and flowing out of the duck's beak, which is still clearly visible. To best enhance it, it is recommended to place it on an existing structure or on the pedestal in the photo, also carved from white Carrara marble, available for sale. It is also distinguished by the mastery in the realization of physiognomic and realistic details, which lend great value to the artist. It is a work of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. Italian craftsmanship, Neoclassical period, late 18th century.
