The pair of chests of drawers have geometric lines in keeping with the characteristics of the Louis XVI style, decorated with simpler and more sober marquetry, but always of refined execution. These chests of drawers are inlaid and edged with walnut, rosewood, kingwood, maple, boxwood, and other woods.
The two lower drawers feature a large mirror panel, the crosspiece is recessed, the veneer is arranged in a herringbone pattern framed by a repeating leaf motif enclosed by a double inlay, with a particularly detailed phytomorphic rosette in the center; the same detail is also found on the top and sides.
In the drawer beneath the top, there is a refined marquetry with leafy scrolls framed by a double inlay border; the same motif is also found on the sides. The drawers are flush-fitting with the edge veneered in kingwood.
The tapered legs have a phytomorphic motif on the visible sides set within a frame that highlights the design; above the legs is the 'dado' with a floral decoration on a dark background enclosed by a frame of various woods, and to the side of the 'dado' is a floral and volute decoration.
The candlesticks are decorated with a phytomorphic marquetry with a cascading ribbon of oak leaves, which departs from a floral motif in boxwood on a black background in 'pastiglia' (relief work) enclosed by a threaded frame.
