This splendid lidded ewer is of unusual form, made of heavy gauge silver, it features smooth surfaces accentuated by bold decorative elements of floral and geometric motifs and cartouches on both sides of the ewer's body. A hinged lid with a domed surface and decorations that echo the body's theme. The handle features cast, chased and applied ornaments. Short spout, circular base. Vermeil silver interior.
