Refined pair of "Wassily" or Model B3 armchairs, characterized by a tubular structure of chromed steel and black leather straps. The armchairs are original, and the caps closing the tubes are polished and in perfect condition. The leather is very thick, rigid, and in good condition, with coloring even on the edge. These armchairs were designed by the Hungarian architect and designer Marcel Breuer in 1925 for the painter Wassily Kandinsky (hence the name), representing a symbol of Bauhaus design. The armchairs became a mass-produced item in the 1960s when Dino Gavina, in 1962, after meeting the Hungarian designer in New York, convinced him to relaunch the tubular chair. Finally, the armchairs do not bear the signature, which only appears on copies produced from the 1990s onwards. This is a pair of armchairs of great taste and elegance, capable of adding a touch of class and design to any environment. Italian manufacture by Knoll International, 1970s of the 20th century.
