The painting is reminiscent of Giovanni Reder (Rome 1693-1764), son and pupil of Christian Reder. Giovanni was a skilled artist dedicated to landscape genre. We can mention the canvases housed in the Pallavicini Gallery in Rome, which depict: A country outing and Rest during the hunt, made known by Federico Zeri, in which the artist animates vast landscapes with figures of casual elegance.
The painting was relined in the 19th century.
