Oil on canvas. Signed lower right. The work is accompanied by an authentication on photo, signed by the artist. Kodra's painting, an Albanian painter artistically trained in Italy and active in the Milanese scene, consists of a personal, fantastic interpretation of Cubism, particularly of the second phase of his pictorial period, known as Synthetic Cubism, characterized by the choice of juxtaposing or superimposing distinct parts of a representation, often making use of significant techniques such as collage and papier collé. In this work, a couple holding hands can be recognized, a subject that the artist has reinterpreted multiple times with the title "La coppia" (The Couple) or "Gli sposi" (The Spouses). The characters are typically characterized by the decomposition of the human figure and objects into geometric planes and areas of clear color. Kodra used an essential but intense palette, often dominated by earthy tones, ochre, reds, and blacks, reminiscent of Mediterranean colors. On the back of the canvas, there is a stamp from the Galleria d'Arte Contemporanea G. Orio in Milan, via Brera. Framed.
