From Jacques-Eugène Caudron (1818-1865) - "Ecorché" Flayed Man with Raised Arm. Plaster sculpture. Late 19th or early 20th century. Dimensions: H 72 x W 18 x D 30 cm. A plaster model conceived by the French sculptor Jacques-Eugène Caudron, particularly precise in its rendering of the musculature, often used in art academies for the explanation of human anatomy. These models constitute a fundamental source for the anatomical studies of painters and sculptors and were often included in private collections or cabinets of curiosities (Wunderkammer). This specimen was found in the studio of the Brescian artist Eliodoro Coccoli (along with other plaster sculptures forming part of the artist's collection) and is exhibited in the show "ELIODORO COCCOLI magnificent draftsman" until 31/12/2026 at the gallery's premises. The artwork, like all our other items, will be sold with a certificate of authenticity. We personally handle and organize the packaging and shipping of our artworks, with insurance, worldwide. Should the artwork be purchased by non-Italian clients, it will require a declaration with value threshold (DVAL). The gallery will handle the bureaucratic and economic aspects of the matter.
